The 'Verses Collide . . .

. . . and shiny happy fireworks ensue.

Not only is Tim Minear--longtime writer on "Angel," co-exec-producer of "Firefly," and writer of 2 of the most brilliant episodes of said shows ("Lullaby" and "Out of Gas")--

Not only is Tim Minear creating a new TV show, "Drive," which will air in March--

Not only has he cast Nathan Fillion, my favorite sci-fi captain *ever,* in the lead role--

Not only has he cast Amy Acker--

But he has cast Amy Acker as Nathan Fillion's wife.

Yep, that's right. Fred married Mal.

I am ridiculously pleased.

Coolness. I think I need to see this new show.

Incidentally, did you catch the episode of LOST that had Nathan Fillion in it?

I'm making a resolution to myself to go home and watch buffy season five and angel so I'll know what all this Fred hype is about. or, wait? is she only in angel?

She's only in Angel. She shows up towards the end of Season 2, which is nice because that means she's in Season 3, which is the last season that's worth much. Season 4 is fun for a while but then it starts to stink like a distant skunk drawing ever closer until, by the end of Season 4, your house has been invaded by a whole army of skunks that are holding you hostage and torturing you by spraying in your face, and they don't leave until the very end of Season 5, but the smell still lingers...

Ahem. Maybe it's not quite that bad.
